In this (short) beginning, the book starts in a future where Mira is an adult and is explaining history to a group of children. It then flashes to Manderin's collection of stories about the lives of the fate-seeds. This may not make too much sense as of yet, but I'm putting it here for the sake of completion
Manderin has an unusual premonition which calls her to draw together a myriad of people for a mysterious purpose. Together, she and Symphony set out on this enigmatic mission. As always, this is unfinished.
This is the story of Manderin's life. While it is unfinished, it still contains enough information to reveal Manderin's origins and provide a glimpse into the mind of the mysterious little girl who knows everything.
This is the prologue of Moment's story. I stopped writing it because I didn't feel like writing the death scene for her parents, but I might eventually finish it. Maybe.
This is the first glimpse of Kiasta as a character. You can read more about her in 'A Rip in Fate' but I almost like this characterization better. Some of the information is no longer accurate, however: Melody dies of cancer, not horse-riding, Symphony and Manderin never split up, and Kiasta cannot remember Harmony at all.
This is an old story focusing on Harmony and Symphony. Most of the information is no longer accurate, but you can still get a glimpse of who the characters used to be so you can compare them to who they are now, if you like that sort of thing.
