I finally figured out how to use our scanner, so I'm putting up some of my traditional (on paper) drawings. The scanner fades the pictures, so try to imagine them slightly less washed-out looking.

These are some rough sketches I did with my new prismacolour markers, and I liked them enough to put up here. The prismacolours scan much better than colour pencils do, so the images show up a lot clearer, which is something I need to remember for future artwork.
This was based on a shell that I have, but I took some artistic license with it. I know the colour is weak, but blame that on my scanner. Come to think of it, blame Peach's picture (below) on the scanner also.
The girl in this picture is my character, Peach ~ Eola. If you want to know more about her, check out her page (note that it might not be done yet as that section is still a Work in Progress)
This was based on the myth of the Pandora's box. If you aren't familiar with the story, the short version is that Pandora was the 'perfect woman' made by the gods and given to the brother of Prometheus (who annoyed Zeus by giving humans fire) as his wife. Along with Pandora, Epimethius was given a beautiful, but sealed box. They were told never to open the box. Well, Pandora opened the box and let out all of the negative things in the world (pain, death, disease, age). Hope was the last thing in the box, and although in some versions hope is trapped inside, I prefer the ones where hope escapes also, and so that is the version I depicted (only for some reason Pandora is not present).
In case it wasn't obvious, these are aliens, and the thing on the UFO is the license plate.
I was trying to demonstrate to my brother how to draw someone from the back, and I ended up throwing aliens in. I got this
This is the boomerang we have in our family room. there aren't really feathers hanging from it, but I thought they looked nicer than the fake skull we have there right now (halloween)
